Samantha - Being A Teenager Living In The UK
What Is It Like Being a Teenager in Britain?
British teenagers spend most of their time at school, in fact students in Britain can leave school at sixteen, take their first important exams GCSE's or stay on to go onto 6th form college to undertake 'A' level qualifications. However, to understand just some of the challenges they face and how they navigate their way around career development is a crucial part in developing their confidence, motivation, self perception and ambition.
Samantha Baah is currently a sixth form student on a career path that will take her to Cambodia having organized a gap year in 2024, to develop her skills in medicine. She has taken control of her life embarking on a path where she has faced some challenges, however, has pursued a route with the support of family, mentors and sheer self determination to live and enjoy each moment!
Hear her story about the challenges and wise words of being a young person living in the UK and what that means for her.
